Auditory Processing Assessment
An Auditory Processing Assessment explores how effectively a child or adult’s brain interprets and makes sense of sounds.
These assessments are carried out by our Speech and Language therapists in a calm, structured environment at our clinic in Wantage, Oxfordshire.
The process involves a series of listening tasks using headphones and calibrated equipment to measure how well the individual can discriminate, sequence, and recall auditory information. Results help identify difficulties such as following spoken instructions, understanding speech in noisy settings, or distinguishing similar sounds.
